Nepce to podjednako razotkriva uz laganu, vertikalnu strukturu koja odaje suptilne note crvenih bobica i šumskog tla uz usta puna mineralnosti.
Međutim, prava individualnost dolazi do izražaja od sredine do kraja nepca sve dok se suptilno ne iskaže u završnici elegantnim notama crne trešnje, sladića, melase i suvih šljiva zajedno sa dašcima slasti, začina i sofisticiranim dodirom gorčine.
Divna interakcija kiselina i mladalačkih tanina. Najbolje je dekantirati ga sat vremena pre serviranja.
Rskavac is the old local name for Serbia’s indigenous red grape variety, Prokupac, in the country’s Župa region. And the producers of this featured wine, the Spasić family, stick to using that old moniker on the label, which is fitting especially since the grapevines are between 115 and 165 years old.
Aromas of cherry blossom, redcurrant, rosehip and dried sage and bay leaf already point to the typical Burgundy-esque expression of Prokupac. The palate is equally revealing with a lean, vertical structure that yields subtle red berry and forest floor notes and mouth-filling minerality.
However, the real individuality comes into play on the mid- to-end palate and finish with subtly elegant tones of black cherry, liquorice, molasses and prune together with dashes of savouriness and spice and a sophisticated bitter touch.
Wonderful interplay of acidity and youthful tannins. Best to decant one hour before serving. |
